Description

Operating Principle

RTO stands for Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, which is a process similar to conventional VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) treatment furnaces, where organic gases with odors are heated to temperatures of 700-1000°C. The heat released after combustion is recovered, with up to 95% efficiency. By utilizing the heat generated in the process, this helps reduce energy consumption. This is a furnace designed with an energy-saving approach.

The furnace features multiple thermal retention chambers that store heat by circulating the airflow in a closed-loop system with rotating components, performing alternately. At the center is the combustion chamber, which is an effective method for burning organic compounds, with a treatment efficiency exceeding 99%.

Through successive heating stages using ceramic materials, VOCs are heatedto the bond breaking temperature via the burner system (with an efficiency of up to 99%). Once VOCs reach the self-ignition point, the burner is turned off.

Water and gas heat exchange systems help reduce the temperature of the exhaust gases and recover thermal energy generated during the air treatment process, thereby reducing energy consumption.

With its outstanding advantages, the RTO technology has become a standard in the color-coated steel production industry, helping businesses optimize production efficiency while sustainably protecting the environment.
